Programs support curriculum outcomes, and groups of all ages and sizes are welcome.

Archives
Research and primary source learning
Bring your students into the Archives to work with the records, photographs, and voices that tell Chilliwack’s story. History becomes evidence to question, interpret, and understand.
Primary sources
Students work directly with archival records, photographs, maps, and documents.
Inquiry-based learning
Archive visits encourage research, critical thinking, and historical inquiry while supporting BC curriculum
Questions

rograms are $2.00 per student. Teachers and adult chaperones receive complimentary admission. An invoice will be provided upon booking confirmation, and payment can be settled on or before the date of your visit via credit card, cheque, cash, or electronic transfer.

We offer curriculum-connected museum programs designed for Grades K-12. You can view our full program guide, grade alignments, and pre- and post-visit lesson plans in our Program Guide (PDF)
We offer flexible visit options to fit your field trip schedule:
- Guided Tour Only (45 minutes): An interactive exploration of current exhibition galleries.
- Tour & Hands-on Activity (60 minutes): A gallery tour paired with an interactive craft or workshop.
- Dual-Location Program (120 minutes): An expanded experience spanning both our museum and archival spaces (including a break and travel time).

The maximum capacity is 28 students per program session. If you have multiple classes or a larger group, we offer two options:
- Run two sessions back-to-back with a break in between.
- Book a Dual-Location Program, where one group starts at the Archives and the other at the Museum, swapping locations halfway through.

On-site parking is limited. School buses may drop off and pick up students directly at the main entrance or at the loading dock on the right side of the building. Because on-site parking is restricted, drivers are encouraged to depart after drop-off and return at the scheduled pick-up time.

Yes! Students are welcome to use the Curiosity Studio for quick snacks, and our upstairs Chambers Hall can be set up for lunch upon request. Designated eating breaks are automatically built into longer bookings, such as Dual-Location Programs or split-group visits.
